Guan Guangzhi (1896--1958) Born in Jilin city of Jilin province, Guan Guangzhi is one of famous old watercolor painters in China and a art educationist in North of China. At early age, he graduated from Shenyang Art School and then stayed to teach at Yanjing University. In 1931 he went to England and furthur his education, who is a early Chinese oversea student at England Royal Art Academy. After return our motherland, he taught at Yanjing University, Beiping National Art School, Puren University and Qinghua University; at the same time, he sticked to paint. He are good at paint watercolor. In respect of selecting painting materials, he are adept to old buildings and gardens scenery. And his paintings' materials came from Beijing. He trained many art talent for our country. In 1958, Guan Guangzhi was dead at illness at only 62 years old
